On the first listen, we were hooked - uplifting in all the best ways, Folket find that perfect balance of indie sensibilities and subtle grittiness, making it stand out as an anthem made for both intimate venue floors and massive festival stages. TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
We’re a four-piece band formed while studying in Uppsala, brought together by our love for music. Starting out playing covers at local frat parties, we quickly built a following and began writing our own songs. Our music is inspired by our experiences from the student party scene in Uppsala, blending the energy of live performances with the camaraderie of creating together.
At the heart of it all, we live for energetic parties where everyone’s on their feet, dancing and having a great time. That’s the vibe we bring to every show, whether it’s our originals or a cover, we want you moving and feeling the music.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MUSIC?
We got into music through a mix of childhood hobbies, school bands, and a lifelong love for listening to and playing music. Some of us picked up instruments early on, others sang in the shower or just grew up surrounded by music at home. When we met, we instantly bonded over that shared passion and decided to start playing together, which eventually led us to form the band.

CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT THE CREATIVE PROCESS BEHIND YOUR MUSIC?
Our creative process is pretty collaborative and organic. It usually starts with one of us bringing an idea to the table—it could be a guitar riff, a melody, or even just a lyric or a theme. From there, we jam together, experimenting with different sounds and structures until something clicks. Since we all come from slightly different musical backgrounds, we each bring our own influences and ideas, which helps keep our sound fresh and dynamic. Once we have the bones of a song, we refine it together, tweaking the arrangement, harmonies, and dynamics until it feels right. We also love testing new material live—there’s nothing like seeing how a crowd reacts to a song to know if it’s working.
Since we all come from slightly different musical backgrounds, we each bring our own influences and ideas, which helps keep our sound fresh and dynamic. We’re big on creating music that feels authentic and relatable, so we often draw inspiration from our own experiences—whether it’s the ups and downs of student life, the energy of a great party, or just the everyday moments that stick with you.
CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT SOME KIND OF WAY?
"Some Kind of Way" is our first single, and it’s a song that really captures the essence of our early days as a band. It’s inspired by the electric energy of Uppsala’s party life and student culture, where everyone is driven by this shared desire to let loose, connect, and live in the moment. Musically, we wanted to capture that same energy. The driving riff and anthemic chorus are all designed to get people moving and feeling that same rush we felt when we were writing it.
It’s about that feeling you get when you’re surrounded by friends, the music is loud, and everything just clicks. It’s energetic, raw, and full of life, just like those nights.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Right now, we’re gearing up for some awesome gigs, including one of the biggest highlights of the year—Valborg in Uppsala. For those who don’t know, Valborg is the ultimate party day in Uppsala, where the city comes alive with energy. The celebrations start early in the morning and keep going late into the night (or even the next day!). It’s a massive, unforgettable experience, and we’re thrilled to be playing live during the festivities.
We’re also working on new music, building on the vibe of our first single, Some Kind of Way, and exploring new sounds that reflect where we are as a band right now. We’ve got a lot of ideas in the works, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
