Pentire release their latest single ‘Water’ // review

You never know what you’re going to hear when you open your inbox and select a track but as soon as I pressed play on Pentire’s ‘Water’ I knew I was in for a good ride. Pentire are an exciting quartet hailing from the South West, named after a Cornish headland. The band have created quite a buzz around the country, with a number of singles already in their back pocket and being praised by Radio 6’s legendary Steve Lamacq.

‘Water’, right from the first note, becomes an instant indie classic. They've crafted an energetically charged fusion of youthfulness, dreamy hooks, punchy vocals and raw bass lines that pull you into Pentire’s musical soundscapes. For such a young band, they certainly pack a punch; it’s dynamic and it’s proper British indie rock. Pentire have produced the sounds you’d want to hear throughout the summer, on those festival lineups that we’re all dreaming of at the moment, and I for one cannot wait to hear this one live.

The boys, to raise awareness for such an important cause, have decided that for the first month 100% of profits will be donated to the Marine Conservation Society - the UK’s leading marine charity.

You can stream Water on all major streaming platforms now!
